AbstractThe equation of transient response to a small amplitude perturbation of potential step for multi time constant electrode processes was deduced,and a method of calculating the parameters in the equation of transient response containing one, two or three time constants was proposed. Using this method, the number of time constants can be determened unambigiously, and the kinetic parameters of the electrode process studied can be estimated easily.
