摘要 | The oxidation of a sputtered Ni-9. 7Cr-5. 5Al-7Ti (w%) coating was performed at 1 000 degrees C in air and the effect of Ti on its oxide formation was studied. The results show that a complex alpha-Al2O3, TiO2 film was formed on the coating after 200 h oxidation, due to the relatively high Ti content. The sputtered coating has good oxidation resistance in spite of the formation of TiO2 in the oxide scale. In addition, the oxide scale formed on the coating exhibits excellent adhesion with the base metal, as a result of a low growth rate of TiO2 during oxidation and the continuity of the oxide scale. |
