Isothermol oxidation maps for ideal ternary A-B-C alloys under low oxidant pressures by a single oxidant have been calculated and established by assuming no formation of soluble, double and internal oxides. The effect of changing oxygen pressures on the simultaneous equilibrium between the alloy and the three oxides in a quaternary A-B-C-O system has been determined by taking into account kinetic factors.
