Multicomponent Fe-based amorphous alloys with wide supercooled liquid region

摘要The ferromagnetic amorphous Fe-(Nb)-Al-Ge-P-C-B alloys with a wide supercooled liquid region before crystallization were successfully prepared. The effect of Nb addition on the thermal stability of the supercooled liguid, glass-forming ability (GFA) and soft magnetic properties was examined. The increases in the thermal stability and GFA were recognized in the replacements of Al by 1 to 3% (atomic fraction) Nb. The Fe-based amorphous alloys exhibit good magnetic properties with high saturation magnetization and low saturated magnetostriction. The coercive force is lowered and the soft magnetism is improved by annealing treatment just below the crystallization onset temperature. However, the crystallization leads to an obvious decrease in the soft magnetic properties. The Fe-based amorphous alloys exhibit a correspondence between the wide supercooled liquid region and good soft magnetic properties.
