Abstract | High-temperature mechanical behavior and deformation mechanism of Ti-47Al-2W-0.5Si cast alloy have been investigated. The results show that, the TiAl base intermetallic exhibits improved mechanical properties over the conventional IN713LC superalloy on density-corrected yield strength from RT to high temperature, and density-corrected creep strength at 650 degreesC.
