AbstractThe transformation behavior of Ti-49.6% Ni shape memory alloy was measured under variant cycles of stress/strain fatigue by using electrical resistance method. The results show that the R transformation occurs after fatigue, and the transformation temperatures of the fatigued specimens become stable. The martensite transformation temperature M-s and the reverse transformation temperature M-s are lower than that of the specimens without fatigue, When increasing the cycling numbers, the temperature M-s,A(s) and the transformation hysteresis after strain fatigue change little, that represents Ti-49.6Ni alloy has a higher stability of transformation.
