摘要 | The corrosion behavior of 316 stainless steel (316SS) in 0.01 mol/L HCl solution aerated with highly purified hydrogen gas was investigated with electrochemical tests. The results of polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements show that 316SS is in active corrosion state at corrosion potential in the test solutions. It could form porous corrosion product film on its surface. Hydrogen atoms from corrosion reaction can enter the surface of 316SS specimen and thus decrease the corrosion resistance. The amount of hydrogen atoms entered specimen surface increases with the progress of corrosion. Sulfate ions can inhibit the corrosion process of 316SS in above dilute HCl solution. |
