AbstractReaction mechanisms in the fluctuation synthesis of Ti3SiC2 are studied to show that the Ti3SiC2 particulates precipitate directly out from a silicon-rich melt. (C) 2003 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
