AbstractThe effect of deformation at (M-s + 30 degreesC) on the transformation behavior of Ti44Ni47Nb9 alloy has been investigated systematically. It was found that the reverse transformation temperature interval of stress-induced martensite was smaller by about one order of magnitude than that of thermal-induced martensite. The reason for this phenomenon above is fully explained. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
