摘要 | Tensile behaviors of ultrafine grained copper (UFG-Cu) processed by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) were investigated at room temperature in the as-processed state and after cyclic deformation treatment. It was found that the plastic deformation behavior of UFG-Cu after cyclic deformation treatment is obviously different from that in the as-processed state. Stress-strain curves of the cyclically deformed specimens show a steady state deformation plateau characterized by the absence of both strain hardening/softening and necking. Uniform elongation increased from 2% of the as-processed Cu to about 6% of the cyclically deformed UFG-Cu. The deformation mechanism and possible reasons responsible for this change are discussed. |
