A NEW TRANSIENT TECHNIQUE TO LOWER NOISE DISTURBANCE AND DETERMINE TIME CONSTANTS OF AN ELECTROCHEMICAL SYSTEM

摘要A new technique of current transient response to a squareform potential pulse was: developed. Based on the technique, disturbance of noise which is mixed with real signal can be effectively reduced by accumulating processing of a current transient response, and time constants of an electrochemical system can also be easily determined by doing non-equispaced-difference plot. Besides, roles of amplitude of potential pulse and solution resistance of the electrochemical system in improving ''signal/noise'' ratio of the transient process are discussed. This new technique has proved to be effective for some corrosion systems with high impedance.
