AbstractSupported bimetallic Pd(x)Cu(y)catalysts with precisely controlled Pd/Cu ratios were prepared and characterized by combining sample averaged and microscopic techniques. The active-site isolation effect on reactivity and reaction pathway control with different extent of Pd ensembles in acetylene hydrogenation is unravelled systematically.
