| Abstract | Two new compounds were isolated from the 60% ethanol extract of the dried rhizome of Ardisia gigantifolia Stapf. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods as (+)-5-(1,2-dihydroxypentyl)-benzene-1,3-diol and (-)-5-(1,2-dihydroxypentyl) benzene-1,3-diol. (C) 2008 Nai Li Wang.
