AbstractA new cerebroside, gynuraoside (1), was isolated from the aerial parts of Gynura divaricata DC. It was determined to be 1-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(2S,3S,4R,10E)-2-(2'R)-2'-hydroxyldocosanoyl-amino-10-octadecene-1,3,4-triol on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
