AbstractThe formation mechanism of curved slip band in W-3Re alloy with coarse grains was studied using SEM and EBSD technique. The slip direction was <111> at room temperature and the slip planes were proved to be the {110} and {112}. The formation mechanism of curved slip band was discussed and a new model was finally proposed.
