A study has been made on the superplasticity and the formability of the coarse structure of the warm rolled LFC-XⅢ
alloy, by using superplastic property measurement, by obervations from an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope, and finally by analysis with the positron technique. Contents of this paper are as follows: (1) Both the temperature and the strain rate of the superplastic deformation in a higher speed and the temperature and the time of forming of the LFC-XⅢ alloy are obtained. The stress, and the strain rate, and the apparent activation energy are also discussed. (2) The evolution of the formed coarse structure during deformation is revealed for the first time. The influences of temperature, and strain rate, and stress upon the structure are discussed. (3) The author of this paper advance the deformation mechanism theory of the deformed coarse structure, based on the analysis of the experimental results and referring to old deformation theories.
