摘要 | Ultra-high strength steel (UHSS) is the most attractive lightweight material for automotive industry. However, the formation of internal oxides especially along grain boundaries during coiling after hot rolling can signifi-cantly deteriorate the surface quality of the final product. Herein, we report the influence of Al addition on the internal oxidation of Fe-Mn-Si model alloys of UHSS. Experimental results show a significantly reduced inter -granular oxidation for the Al-containing alloys. The beneficial effects of Al are attributed to a modified oxygen activity condition at the scale/substrate interface and a rather depletion of reactant elements at grain boundaries. |
