The corrosion behaviors of FeSiB and FeNiSiB amorphous alloys are investigated in 0.1 mol/L H_2SO_4 aqueous solution by electrochemical measurements. The low corrosion resistance of FeSiB amorphous alloy can be improved by adding 10 percent Ni in it, while, the structure plays an important role in the dissolution rate of the heat treated amorphous alloys. The further study by chemical and surface analytical methods shows that there are no component accumulation on the FeNiSiB amorphous alloy in the dissolution process, so it can be concluded that the corrosion of this alloy belongs to the general one. For the more, the corrosion rate of this alloy can be decreased with the addition of TU and DDA. The inhibiting effect of TU is due to catalytic effect and that of DDA is attributed to blocking effect. Both inhibition mechanisms are changed with the structure of the alloys. The synergistic effect between Cl~- and DDA is also observed in this experiment.
