The sterilize and inhibition mechanism of N,N-dipropynoxy methy alkyl quaternary ammonium salt and imidazoline quaternary ammonium salt in acid solution or laboratory brine water were investigated by means of potentiodynamic polarization measurement and sterilize means. The sterilize inhibitor and double mechanism of theirs in acid solution or laboratory brine water were discussed. The results show that N,N-dipropynoxy methyl alkyl quaternary ammonium slat possesses high inhibiting efficiency and is much more effective in hydrochloric acid than in sulfuric acid, among which composition in the range of 6 to 8 carbon is best, in the same time, during sterilize laboratory, which composition in the range of 3 to 4 carbon atom is best. Because the difference of adsorbent object need different adsorbent energy and solution. Imidazoline quaternary salt in inhibition lab acts as anodic control, i.e. anodic negative catalytic corrosion inhibitor. Divertered five-rings of imidazoline result in reduction of adsorbent in cell, so sterilize efficiency is less.
