The effects of heat treatment and flow velocity on the erosion-corrosion behavior of a high chromium cast iron in 10%H_2SO_4+15% corundum sand and 3.5%NaCl+15% corundum sand slurry are studied through specimen weitht loss and polarization curve measurement using a slurry pot apparatus. Surface morphology under different conditions is observed by SEM. The experimental results were discussed for the purpose of understanding the mechanism of erosion-corrosion.
