摘要 | A highly water-soluble and uniformly dispersed concentrate of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) hydrosols were synthesized using a chemical reduction method. The Ag NPs hydrosols exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity against sulfate -reducing bacteria (SRB) and can serve as a biocide for anti -corrosion purposes. The addition of 50 ppm Ag NPs hydrosols reduced the corrosion rate by over 91 % in the presence of SRB biofilm compared to untreated conditions. Numerous Ag NPs adsorbed onto the cell wall, with some internalizing and entering the cell, resulting in cytoplasmic efflux and DNA damage, ultimately leading to cell death. |
