摘要 | {211} <1(sic)11>(beta) deformation twins were observed for the first time in a laser powder bed fusion manufactured Ti-6Al-4V alloy containing 0.25 wt.% oxygen, after tensile deformation to failure at room temperature. The relatively high level of oxygen content promotes the {10(sic)11}(alpha) transformation twinning in the alpha ' martensite, but reduces the size of the alpha ' martensite laths in the as-built state. {211} <1(sic)11>(beta) twinning was shown to be an effective mechanism to relieve the stress concentration at the alpha '/beta interface created by the (01(sic)10)[2(sic)110](alpha)' prismatic slip of the alpha ' phase, as facilitated by the Burgers orientation relationship between the two phases. |
