摘要 | Flue-gas desulfurization gypsum (FGD gypsum), as a type of solid waste, can be recycled to prepare calcined gypsum by low temperature heat-treatment. The properties of calcined gypsum reached the best as calcining FGD gypsum at 170 degrees C for 2 h. Potassium sodium tartrate and aluminum sulfate were employed as composite crystal modifiers to improve the property of calcined gypsum, and calcium oxide was used to adjust pH value of the system to 12. The effects of the different ratios and dosages of composite crystal modifiers on the properties of the calcined gypsum were investigated, and the modified mechanism was revealed. The results show that the lattice integrity and symmetry of calcined gypsum undergo noticeable alterations upon adding the composite crystal modifiers. As the composite ratio of potassium sodium tartrate to aluminum sulfate increases, more lattice defects appear in the calcined gypsum. Moreover, the higher proportion of aluminum sulfate promotes the elongation of fibrous dihydrate gypsum (DH), while the increased proportion of potassium sodium tartrate gradually makes DH crystals transform from fibrous into flaky. When the composite ratio is 1:10 with the dosage of 0.33 % by mass of FGD gypsum, the hydration product (DH) of the prepared calcined gypsum displays dense structure with the interlaced columnar or fibrous crystals. The 2 h flexural and compressive strength reach 3.6 and 10.3 MPa, and the dried flexural and compressive strength increase to 7.2 and 21 MPa, respectively, meeting the standard requirement of grade 3.0 calcined gypsum. |
