Microstructure and Texture Evolution of Ti65 Alloy during Thermomechanical Processing

摘要The initial microstructure of titanium alloy in the alpha + beta phase region is pivotal in dictating the performance of the final products after thermomechanical processing. Microstructures and textures of three rods, each prepared through distinct pretreatments, were systematically analyzed. Morphological analysis reveals that while both thick alpha platelets and coarse prior beta grains impede the spheroidization of lamellar structures, the influence of the former is more pronounced. Variations in alpha platelet thickness prior beta grain size exhibit limited impact on the macro-texture type after deformation and annealing. The proportion of low-angle interfaces between the c-axis of the primary alpha phase and the < 110 > direction of the prior beta grains was elevated in rods with thicker platelets compared to thinner ones.
