摘要The microstructure and elevated temperature compressive properties of a rapidly solidified NiAl-Cr(Nb)/Dy alloy fabricated by injection casting were investigated. The results reveal that the microstructure of the rapidly solidified alloy gets great refinement. The coarse Cr(2)Nb phase at the NiAl phase boundary in conventionally-cast alloy is replaced by NiAl/Cr(2)Nb lamellar eutectic microstructure in rapidly solidified alloy. In addition, in the rapidly solidified NiAl-Cr(Nb)/Dy alloy Cr(7)Ni(3) rod-like particles precipitate in Cr(2)Nb phase, but no Ni(5)Dy particles precipitate. Compared with the conventionally-cast alloy, the rapidly solidified alloy owns more excellent elevated temperature compressive properties. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
