摘要The oxidation of three Cu-Al alloys (Cu-1Al, Cu-2Al and Cu-3Al) containing 1, 2 and 3 at.% Al was studied at 1173K under 10(-20) MPa O-2. The two binary Cu-Al alloys more dilute in aluminum underwent an internal oxidation of aluminum, contrary to the theoretical expectations which predicted an external growth of alumina scales. Furthermore, the rate of internal oxidation was many orders of magnitude faster than expected.
