Microstructure of WC in WC-Co cemented carbides consolidated by electric discharge

摘要The microstructure of WC in WC - Co cemented carbides fabricated by electric discharge compaction was investigated. A high density of defect, such as stacking faults, was found in WC grains, and lattice distortion also occurred. It indicated that the high strain rate and instantaneous stress induced the formation of defect during densification.
