Abnormal thermal expansion and thermal stability of Ti3Al1-xSixC2 solid solutions

摘要T(i)3Al(1-x)Si(x)C(2) solid solutions exhibited abnormal high coefficients of thermal expansion at temperatures of > 940 degrees C during heating, which was ascribed to the precipitation of Si as Ti5Si3. Ti5Si3 phase usually located at the grain boundaries of the solid solutions. (c) 2006 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
