Strengthening of Ti2AlC by substituting Ti with V

摘要Ti2AlC is strengthened by substituting Ti with V to form (Ti,V)(2)AlC solid solutions. The Vickers hardness, flexural strength, shear strength and compressive strength are enhanced by 29%, 36% and 45% for (Ti-0.8,V-0.2)(2)AlC solid solution. respectively.
