AbstractTiAlW alloy is investigated by transmission electron microscopy. There are beta precipitates at the lamellar interface after aging heat treatment. beta precipitate is a bcc structure. The orientation relationship between beta and gamma phase is (101)gamma//(111)beta, (11 1)gamma//(110)beta. When the incident electron beam is along [111]gamma, six different P phase variants are observed. The long axis directions of P precipitates are discussed according to reciprocal space 0 Lattice model. The predictions from the model are in good agreement with the experimental observations.
