Crack healing in a steel by using electropulsing technique

摘要Samples of steels with precracks were treated by electropulsing. As a result of electropulsing, the crack is partly healed. The healing process occurs with a very short duration pulse and the original microstructure in the area without a crack was maintained during the "healing" treatment. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
