摘要An abnormal strain rate effect on the tensile ductility was observed in an electrodeposited nanocrystalline (nc) Cu sample, in which the fracture strain increases significantly at higher strain rates (from 6 x 10(-5) to 1.8 x 10(3) s(-1)). This phenomenon might be associated with a different fracture mechanism in the nc Cu sample compared with that for conventional coarse-grained materials. (C) 2001 Acta Materialia Inc.
