Investigation on foam ceramic filter to remove inclusions in revert superalloy

摘要On the basis of morphology observation and chemical composition analysis of the particles captured by a foam ceramic filter, the inclusion types in revert superalloy that can be removed by filter have been identified. It is found that physical separation functions at all positions of the filter. Different particle removal ways are related to the properties and size of particles as well as the character of the filter. Experimental results show that nitrogen inclusions can also be removed by the surface adhesion of the filter. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
