AbstractThe change of the structure by mechanical alloying on the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 nanostructured alloy was studied experimentally. It was found that the nanostructured ribbons obtained from the crystallization of amorphous state by a proper annealing treatment can be changed into amorphous powder via short time milling. By increasing the milling time, the milled powder returns to crystallization and exhibits smaller crystal size. A still smaller crystal size can be formed if the milled powder is annealed again.
