AbstractThe spin-Hamiltonian parameters D(= b(2)(0)) and a(0)(= 3b(4)(0)) of Mn2+ ion in calcite (CaCO3) crystal have been studied by means of the superposition model. In this study, the reasonable local structural parameters in the vicinity of impurity ion are taken into account. Based on the study, the local compressibilities around the impurity for Mn2+-doped calcite crystal are estimated from its pressure and stress dependence of EPR spectrum.
