摘要 | Observation of the crystallization behavior of an amorphous Fe-Cu-Si-B alloy by in situ transmission electron microscopy (ITEM) is reported. It was found that the crystallization process of Fe-Cu-Si-B amorphous foil occurred in two separate steps with the formation of alpha-Fe(Si) and Fe2B phases respectively. Two nucleation regions were observed for the alpha-Fe(Si) phase. One is close to the edge of an ion-thinking region, in which the alpha-Fe(Si) phase nucleates at first; the other is the inner area. No such phenomenon was observed for the Fe2B phase. At T = 813 K, anomalous growth behavior was observed. Both the nucleation and growth of particles depended on the thickness of the foil. TEM results were found to be in good agreement with the results of isothermal differential scanning calorimetry. |
