摘要 | A Hall-Petch-type dependence of microhardness of Ti/TiN multilayers on their modulation wavelength LAMBDA has been set up. Microstructural studies have shown a linear dependence of their grain size with LAMBDA. Combining the results of mechanical and microstructural studies provides the basis that the hardness behavior of Ti/TiN multilayers can be attributed to the grain size refining effect. |
