AbstractTextured YBa2Cu3O7 samples were prepared by the Melt Spun Texture Growth (MSTG) process. Magnetization measurements have been performed at 4.2 K in magnetic fields up to 38 T, applied parallel and perpendicular to the preferential growth direction. The critical current densities are deduced from the irreversible magnetization and the pinning forces have been evaluated.
