摘要 | Ni75B17Si8 alloy melt was purified by cyclically heating within 40%Na2SiO3 + 20%Na2B4O7 + 10%SiO2 + 30%B2O3 slag. The glass forming ability of the melt and the thermostability of the metallic glass formed from the melt were enhanced by eliminating the heterogeneous catalysts in the melt. Ni75B17Si8 metallic glass samples with the dimensions 20 x 10 x 0.5 mm3 have been formed by purifying the alloy melt and subsequently quenching it. The thickness of the samples is four times that of metallic glass samples formed from unpurified Ni75B17Si8 melt. |
