LATENT HARDENING IN ALUMINUM SINGLE-CRYSTALS UNDER CYCLIC LOADING

摘要The low temperature (77 K) and room temperature (296 K) hardening-softening behaviour is studied of the primary system B4 and secondary systems A3 and C1 of Al-single crystals with < 123 > axis, which are previously deformed under cyclic loading for certain number of cycles. Yield stresses are measured, as a result, the latent hardening ratios (LHRs) of the secondary systems are calculated. It is likely shown that: when the primary system hardens at most, the LHR may be the lowest and perhaps lower than one; when primary system softens at most, the LHR may be highest and the higher than one.
