Laser induced photovoltaic effects in manganite films for high temperature photodetecting applications in oil and gas optics

摘要We presented the high temperature dependence of the photovoltaic effects in selected manganite films on miscut MgO substrates. The photovoltaic effect is induced by 248 nm ultraviolet laser pulse irradiation and occurs without an applied bias. With the increase in the temperature of La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 film from 20 to 500 degrees C its peak photovoltage and photocurrent were kept stable at similar to 11.31 V and 0.63 A with the sensitivities of similar to 0.377 V/mj and 0.021 A/mJ, respectively. The experimental results indicate that the manganite film photodetectors have an attractive potential high temperature application in harsh environments. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
