AbstractBismuth based ferroelectric xBiInO(3)-(1-x)PbTiO3 (BIPT) solid solution was anticipated to exhibit a high Curie temperature (Tc), and meet the requirement for working under high temperature enviroment. In this work, we synthesized BIPT single crystals by a flux growth method and obtained the mm size crystals. These crystals were determined to be of perovskite structure with the composition of BIPT. Through SEM method, the surface morphology and 180 degrees domain structures were observed.
