Abstract | By means of gamma-ray attenuation method, the density of pure In and its relationship with temperature were measured in both solid and liquid states. The results show that the density data of pure In obtained by this method have a good repeatability within heating run and cooling run each other. The temperature dependence of the density of liquid In is rho(In)(T) = 7.215 - 10.7 x 10(-4) T + 2.94 x 10(-7) T-2, T-m less than or equal to T less than or equal to 800degreesC. At melting point the density of In melt is rho(m) = 7.055 g/cm(3). |
