Extracting hardness-displacement relations and elastic modulus using nanoindentation loading curves

摘要Based on the study of nanoindentation technique and experiment measurements, it was found that the relationship of contact stiffness-displacement is linear, which can be obtained from two indentation tests at different penetration depths. Consequently the hardness-displacement relations and elastic modulus can be calculated from measured loading curves. Reliability of this calculation method is verified by nanoindentation experiments carried out on four different materials.
