Influence of heat treatments on the microstructure and tensile properties of cast nickel-based superalloy m951

摘要The microstructure and properties of cast nickel based superalloy M951 has been investigated, and the micro-mechanism of ductility has also been discussed. The results show that the strength of the alloy treated by direct aging at 1050 degrees C decreases less than that of as-cast, and its ductility has been much more improved. The strength of the alloy aged at 870 degrees C after solution at 1220 degrees C increases greatly, and its ductility has been obviously decreased. The alloy has the best over-all properties after two stages of aging at 1050 degrees C and 870 degrees C after solution at 1220 degrees C. It is concluded that high temperature aging is very beneficial to the improvement of the alloy's ductility, and also has obvious effects on the adjustment of the size and cubicity of gamma' phase.
