摘要 | The genomic mechanism of steroid hormone action has been widely accepted in endocrinology. But there are difficulties in interpreting the rapid action of steroid hormone on nervous system. The non-genomic mode of glucocorticoid (GC) action was raised in 1987, which proposed that GC acted on the membrane receptor of the neuron. A series of experiments showed that through the non-genomic mechanism, GC could depress the excitability, inhibit the secretion, and augment the uptake of glutamate of neurons. The effects are mediated by the proposed membrane receptor of GC, the existence of which was substantiated by electrophysiological, biochemical, and morphological evidences. |
