摘要	The formation and phase transformation of simple aluminide and Ti-modifided aluminide coatings (by low pressure gas phase deposition) on the Co-base superalloy DZ40Mduring production and high temperature oxidation have been investigated. The results show that the deposition coatings consist of an outer layer of CoAl phase and an internal layer of Cr-rich carbide girdle. Phase transformations in the coatings high temperature take place as follows: CoAl-->CoAl(majority) + alpha-Co-->alpha-Co (majority)+ CoAl-->alpha-Co. The appearance of alpha-Co indicates the beginning of degradation. The degradation will be over when all of CoAl changes into alpha-Co. The Ti addition decreases the activity of Al, and significantly reduces the Al content and the thickness of the coatings, and accelerates its degradation.
