Interface bonding and mechanical properties of the high temperature rooling and cold rolling strips by inversion casting

AbstractThe bonding intensity and hardness along the cross-section of the strips formed by inversion casting were studied. The mechanical properties of the cold rolling strips were tested. The results show that the bonding intensity of the high temperature rolling strips is about 380-490 MPa. The hardness of the growth layer near the interface is greater than that far from the interface, while that is opposite for the mother sheet, The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the cold rolling strips are more than those of the mother sheet and the growth layer, and the ductility is between them. The composite strips can be bent for 8.5 times and the bonding is still perfect.
