AbstractAmorphization behavior of aluminum in the interface region of an ultrafine Al particle encapsulated by Al2O3 shell under the electron beam irradiation was achieved by HF-2000 field emission gun transmission electron microscope. Nanobeam X-ray energy dispersive spectrum analysis revealed that the mechanism of the amorphization is an oxidization behavior.
