Abstract | Fe3+/TiO2 composite nanoparticles were synthesized by adding Fe3+ and surfactant cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) into the sol-gel process of tetrabutyl titanate (TBOT). The composite particles, which absorption maximum appears at about 530 nm in the adsorption curve, show the photocatalytical activity toward Rhodamine B. The effects of Fe3+ amount on the structure and properties of composite materials are systematically studied by TEM, XRD, TG-DTA and UV-Vis. The results show that the Fe3+ ion is doped in the crystal lattice of TiO2 and a new band width (Eg=1.37 eV) appears; the spectral response property of TiO2 composite materials is changed into visible light range. |
